Location in Kauai County and the state of Hawaii Location in Kauai County and the state of Hawaii Kalaheo (literally, "the proud day" in Hawaiian) is an unincorporated census-designated place (CDP) in Kaua i County, island of Kaua i, Hawaii, United States.

According to the United States Enumeration Bureau, the CDP has a total region of 3.0 square miles (7.8 km2), of which 2.9 square miles (7.5 km2) of it is territory and 0.1 square miles (0.26 km2) of it (2.0%) is water.

There were 1,509 housing units at an average density of 512.3 per square mile (197.5/km ).

The ethnic makeup of the CDP was 40.0% White, 0.2% African American, 0.2% Native American, 29.6% Asian, 3.9% Pacific Islander, 1.2% from other competitions, and 24.9% from two or more competitions.

There were 1,428 homeholds out of which 32.2% had kids under the age of 18 living with them, 57.8% were married couples living together, 10.9% had a female homeholder with no husband present, and 27.2% were non-families.

In the CDP the populace was spread out with 24.6% under the age of 18, 7.4% from 18 to 24, 26.0% from 25 to 44, 27.2% from 45 to 64, and 14.8% who were 65 years of age or older.

The median income for a homehold in the CDP was $57,813, and the median income for a family was $63,650.
